{Paris, London & My Dad}
Hello there, Braydon here! Today is my Dad’s birthday, so to celebrate, I wanted to post about my recent trip to Paris & London with him. My dad was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma about a year and a half ago, so when the opportunity opened up for me to go on this trip, I jumped at the chance to spend some much needed father/son time. There are a few things in life that are extremely important to my Dad; family and culture are just two of them. He has taught me so much about the world, culture, traveling, art, sports and so many other things. The time I’ve been able to spend overseas with him, is something I will never forget. The future is un-known at this point, but for now I’m treasuring every second I have with him, every chance I get to talk to him about life and sports, treasuring past memories and planning for all the wonderful times we have ahead. I hope you’ll enjoy a few glimpses into those ten days in Paris & London. What a beautiful world we live in and what an awesome father I have! Enjoy and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the best Dad!

This was just right by our flat and thought of my beautiful wife on valentines day!

Staircase leading to our flat.

This is the Rodan museum. The gardens were fabulous and his work was really inspiring. I highly recommend seeing his work.

This was a random South Korean news station asking my dad his interpretation of a sculpture. It was classic.

Ceiling of the Notre Dame Cathedral.

The San Chappelle was an amazing cathedral with inspiring stained glass. Although it is a pain to get to it is worth seeing. Amazingly beautiful!

A Fav pic with my Dad at the Arch!

Thought Mikki would like to see some of the gowns in Paris.

Anyone ever seen a couple of cops rocking the rollerblades on patrol? yeah me either.

The Louvre was really awesome, I loved it. Tip for anyone going…there is a mall that is below the louvre, there is an entrance that is there where no one goes into. It can save you a lot of time when waiting in lines.

This is the flat that we stayed at. It is pretty much staying with people but the guy that owned this place wasn’t there so it was awesome. I think it cost us around $35 per person per night. Not bad for being a few blocks from the louvre;)

Versaille is probably one of the most out of control opulent places that I have been. It does have some crazy lines so I would recommend getting there when it opens to avoid all of the tourist buses.

This was a mexican restaurant that my dad went to last time he visited Versailles, (it was cinco de mayo) told me it was the worst mexican/american stuff ever. He was really sad to see it go out of business.

Monte mart was just a beautiful area and fun to see where all the impressionist artists lived and worked.

This street performer was classic and was really making some good money in the process.

My Dad actually spotted this guy when we were walking along and thought it was classic. The guy is posing just perfect!

Yes..the Moulin Rouge. Only took a pic to say I had been there…also this is in the risque part of town;)

London is a beautiful city. It was pretty much leveled during the war by Hitler so a lot of it is new. There is also some really old as well. I think that the highlights for me in this city were going to the museums, camden market, traveling on the buses, seeing parliament in action, going into Westminster Abbey, St. Pauls Cathedral, walking along the river and talking one of the nights with our friends we met from Italy.

I love how timeless this looks.

Westminster Abbey was probably one of my favorite religious places that I have been. There have been coronations there for the last 1000 years.

Tower Bridge. I brought a tiny little tripod with me and it worked really well. It was the manfrotto mini pod in case anyone wanted to know.

Loved some of the new architecture there!

This is inside the British Museum, I love the mixing of old and new architecture.

You can go into any museum in London and see priceless works of art from most of the great artists of the world and it is completely FREE!

Above is the rosetta stone and this one below is actually part of the facade to the parthenon in Greece!

This is the Camden Lock Market. It was a lot of fun with lots of shopping. I picked up a few little gems for Mikki here.

This is Greenwich where all of time if based off of.

This was our flat in London. Our host was super nice and professional.

We kind of stumbled upon London’s Fashion week and it was funny going around convincing these models that I was actually supposed to be there.

It is fun to see some of the old school double decker buses occasionally.

I love this pic because my Dad is a real go getter. We saw this and so much more in just eight days. Generally it was him waiting on me taking pictures! Love you Dad!

There’s something about being engaged that brings out the most happy of emotions! Hope this image of Andrew & Mandy brightens your day too!
Collaboration | Personal Project
Sometimes as a photographer, it’s easy to get consumed by the constant workload before me. It’s been a very long time since I’ve photographed something for myself, despite the encouragement from people saying to keep your creativity alive and to feel more inspired, it’s important to do so. So, I heeded that advice and collaborated with two other photographers for a concept that included beautiful women, natural light and a temperamental fog machine. It was FUN and refreshing to say the least, to think outside of the box and push myself to find something a little different. I love the outcome! Priscilla and Kelsey were so wonderful to go along with our vision, and are incredibly sweet. Kelsey recently became engaged to her bearded stellar man and she’ll certainly make a stunning bride this Summer! Priscilla is beautiful, confident and a wonderful mother. She has been married for 3 years and brought her sweet boy Zeke to the shoot to tag along. You wouldn’t believe his darling face!
I hope you’ll enjoy seeing a different side to our work today…Braydon had some fun with these edits and I really like the way the images make me feel when I look at them.
It was amazing to work alongside Jalene Taylor & Kiera Eve Haddock for this project, make sure to check out their lovely posts today as well!
{Alex & Logan – Engagements}
These two lovebirds actually met at a bowling alley, so it was only fitting that we incorporate a little of their history into the session. They bowled and shared a delicious shake and the most amazing burger they’ve ever had! Then we took to the great outdoors! I love their style and their fun relationship! Bridals just can’t come soon enough:) Happy Friday and happy weekend!
